3rd edition of the Mazda IRONMAN 70.3 Acapulco Riviera Diamante presented by Mundo Imperial
The third edition of the Mazda IRONMAN 70.3 Acapulco Riviera Diamante presented by Mundo Imperial was held on Sunday, March 26 with the presence of 1,500 competitors from 26 countries.
The IRONMAN 70.3 Global Series is a circuit made up of competitions in which half the distances of an IRONMAN are covered, that is, 1.9 km of swimming, 90 km of cycling and 21 km of running. The series culminates each year with the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship.
In the Mazda IRONMAN 70.3 Acapulco Riviera Diamante presented by Mundo Imperial, competitors swam 1.9 kilometers at Majahua Beach in Puerto Marques Bay. Start time was at 6:20 am. The bike and run took place on a beautiful course along the Riviera Diamante in Acapulco, Guerrero, with the finish line in front of the Pierre Mundo Imperial Hotel. The time limit for the entire event was 8.30 hours after the last athlete entered the sea in the Rolling Start.
The event handed out 30 Age Group qualifying slots for the Vinfast IRONMAN 70.3 2023 World Championship, to be held on 26-27 August 2023 in Lathi, Finland. The awarding of automatic slots took place on Sunday 26 March in the Diamond Room of the Princess Mundo Imperial Hotel, immediately after the end of the awards ceremony which started at 18:00.
The competitor's packet delivery took place on Friday 24th March from 12:00 to 18:00 hours and on Saturday 25th March from 9:00 to 15:00 hours in the Diamond Rooms of the Princess Mundo Imperial Hotel.
On Saturday 25th the swimming practice took place at Playa Majahua from 6:20 to 8:00 am and the bikes were taken to transition 1 located in Marina Cabo Marqués from 13:00 to 16:30 hours.

Eleven Top 20 players at Abierto Mexicano Telcel 2024- The tournament will feature four players in the Top 10: Alexander Zverev (No. 6), Holger Rune (No. 7), Taylor Fritz (No.9) and Stefanos Tsitsipas (No.10).

5th Edition of L 'Etape Acapulco, by Tour de France, presented by CIBanco 2023On Saturday, March 25th, the fifth edition of L ́Etape Acapulco by Tour de France will take place, starting and finishing in front of the Hotel Palacio Mundo Imperial, with the backing of the State Government and the support of CIBanco.
The first "Acapulco Microbiot Fit Marathon" took place on January 28, 2023, in Riviera Diamante Acapulco, Mexico. The event featured 5K, 10K, 21K, and 42K races, with 4,000 participants divided into different age categories. The route went through various resorts and areas, and Princess and Palacio Mundo Imperial offered lodging for participants. The organizers aimed to promote sports and attract future events to the area.
